Cows Get To Wear VR Goggles In Hopes Of Getting Better Milk
VR GOGGLES FOR COWS – Cows in Russia are proving that virtual reality isn’t just for gaming anymore.
If you thought Russia was weird, then you’re in luck. Because it’s about to get even weirder than you think.
A Dairy farm outside of Moscow is testing the effects of VR glasses for its cows. They are doing this in an effort to increase the quality and quantity of the cow’s milk.
This was according to an article released by the Ministry of Agriculture of Moscow. The report even included photos of a cow sporting its new goggles.
Based on a report from CNN, the ministry said that studies have shown that cows’ environmental conditions can impact the milk they produce. Specifically, it improves the quality and quantity of milk.
This led to developers, along with veterinarians and consults for dairy production, to the invention of VR glasses for cows. They adapted the design from existing glasses and adjusted it to fit cows.
So, the big question is, what are these cows seeing inside their new virtual world? The developers said that it could experience a wild expansive field under the summer sun.
They even added that it was a cow’s virtual paradise. However, it is still uncertain whether the glasses helped with the quality of the milk.
Further studies would still be required to have a concrete answer. Although, the first tests did show that a cow’s anxiety level decreased and the emotional mood of the herd increased.
Russian dairy farmers aren’t the only ones who have made innovations for their cows. Others incorporate lighting, to set the mood, while some use music to help them get better milk.
