TWO ENGINEERS – The two engineers who worked for a private cable corporation died while repairing electrical wires in Pangasinan.

Electrocution could cause death or severe injury to a person. Lots of people have died due to the electrical shock. We should always be extra careful when using the electricity to avoid accidents.

In July this year, a young man almost died while cleaning his motorcycle due to electrocution. The incident was captured in a closed-circuit television camera.

Recently, two engineers who worked for a private cable corporation died due to electrocution. Based on a report from GMA News, the tragic incident happened in Bani, Pangasinan.

The victims of the electrocution were identified as Wilbert Andres from Quirino and Maico Maquilang from Surigao del Norte.

According to the report, an explosion occurred while Andres and Maquilang were fixing the electrical wires. The initial investigation of the cops revealed that one of the engineers accidentally hit the live wire of PANELCO.

The general manager of PANELCO1, Dionisio Opolento, said the incident could have been prevented if they inform them that they are going to fix the electrical wires on that location.

“We have to sign a joint agreement with the company. Nakapaloob doon sa joint agreement kung ano ‘yong responsibility sa bawat isa,” Opolento said.

Based on the report, the remains of the two engineers were brought to their respective provinces. Cops said the company of the two victims will shoulder the burial expenses and offer financial assistance to their families.
