Young Boy in Angeles City Stops & Salutes After Hearing The Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang”
A young boy passing at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center stopped and salute after hearing the Philippine national anthem.
Patriotism is a quality of a person that is characterized by deep love, devotion, and a sense of attachment to a homeland. The attachment can be also seen through historical, ethnical, political, or cultural aspects.
Nowadays, we can rarely see people showing an act of patriotism and some Filipinos are considering this behavior ‘Dead’. However, there are still some who can prove that patriotism is still alive.
Recently, the Facebook page “City Information Office Angeles City” has shared the photo of a young boy who stopped for a while and salutes upon hearing the Philippine national anthem “Lupang Hinirang”.
The social media page identified the patriotic boy as Prince Lozano. The young boy’s act is in accordance with Republic Act No. 8491, Section 21 or known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.
Lozano is a grade 7 students of Angeles City National High School and also a Boy Scout member.
