Doctor Found Family Of Cockroaches Crawling Inside Man’s Right Ear
FAMILY OF COCKROACHES – The doctor found a family of cockroaches crawling inside a man’s right ear.
Cockroaches are among the most well-known pests. They are among the ancient group and have existed more than 300 million years ago.
In 2019, researchers found that these termites have become harder to kill. They revealed that these insects are already becoming immune to different insecticides. “Cockroaches developing resistance to multiple classes of insecticides at once will make controlling these pests almost impossible with chemicals alone,” said Purdue University professor Michael Scharf.
Recently, a family of cockroaches was found living on a man’s ear. Based on a report from Mirror, the Chinese man has been complaining to his family about a sharp pain in his right ear.
The ear, nose, throat specialist from Huiyang, South China, Zhong Yijin, said the mother of the pest laid over a dozen eggs inside the man’s ear. He was shocked after he discovered “more than 10 cockroach babies” crawling inside his ear.
According to the report, the Chinese man said he couldn’t endure the sharp pain in his ears so he called his family and checked his ear. His family members found a large cockroach inside his right ear.
“He said his ear hurt a lot, like something was scratching or crawling inside. It caused a lot of discomfort… I discovered more than ten cockroach babies inside. They were already running around,” said Yijin.
Based on the report, the pain quickly stopped after the family of cockroaches was removed from the man’s ear. The hospital said the parasite was German cockroach (Blattella Germanica).
The doctor removed the tiny insects first one by one before plucking out the larger mother cockroach. The patient only suffered minor injuries in his ear and was discharged the same day.
