KZ Tandingan’s Family Nearly Trapped In Mall After Deadly Mindanao Quake
MINDANAO QUAKE – ABS-CBN singer KZ Tandingan said her mother and siblings were nearly trapped in a mall in Digos.
Filipina singer and rapper KZ Tandingan is a singer from Digos, Davao del Sur. She rose to fame after winning the Kapamilya reality tv music competition “The X Factor Philippines.”
The 27-year-old celebrity is the lead actress in her first-ever movie “The Art of Ligaw” with Epy Quizon. During the red-carpet premiere of their movie, she talked about the destruction in Mindanao.
KZ Tandingan expressed her gratitude to actress Angel Locsin for extending help to her ‘kababayan’ in Mindanao. “Miss Angel, maraming-maraming Salamat po pala sa inyong pagpunta dun… alam namin na galing pa kayo sa Halloween party, pero dumiretso kayo dun,” she said.
She has also provided some help to her town mates in Davao and asked for more donations like water and tents.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, KZ Tandingan shared her family’s personal experience during the strong earthquake in Mindanao. She said her mother and siblings were almost trapped in a mall in Digos.
According to the report, KZ Tandingan said the natural disaster traumatized her family especially her sister because she almost lost her child.
“My mom, my sister and my brother were almost trapped sa isang mall. Tapus gabi pa nangyari so sobrang naging traumatic yung experience na yun para sa pamilya ko lalong lalo na sa sister ko kasi she almost lost her baby.”
“Pero ngayon naman po healthy naman yung baby pero kailangan lang nyang mag rest,” she added.
