VICO SOTTO – Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announces Php 14 million donation and relief goods to the victims of Mindanao quake.

Mindanao, for the past week, had been struck with several and consecutive shaking and tremor and so far, the strongest recorded was on magnitude of 6.5 hitting Cotabato and neighboring areas on Thursday morning, October 31 as per previous report.

The massive and successive jolting has left numerous of our “kababayans” homeless, hungry, and traumatized. And the with the unpredictable event that had happened in their location, some were left with nothing to eat to the point that some of them were on streets asking for food, water, and tarpaulins for shelter from passing vehicles. It was so heartbreaking to see these people left with nothing to do and with the help of the government not reaching them instantly.

And with these, the Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announces that his city will donate relief goods and P14 million to quake victims in Mindanao which will go directly to the cities and municipalities. Davao del Sur municipalities of Magsaysay and Bansalan will get P2 million each, Matanao will be given a million pesos, it will be P3 million to the municipality of Makilala, and P2 million each to the municipalities of Tulunan, M’lang, and Kidapawan, all in the province of Cotabato.
