Facebook Unveils Their New Company Brand Logo

FACEBOOK – Facebook recently unveiled their new company look which distinguishes their company from the social media app.

According to Antonio Lucio, Chief Marketing Officer, in the platform’s newsroom, he started by saying that the now social media giant began as a single app.

He added that they offered a suite of products that aims to help people connect to their friends and family, find communities and grow businesses.

Lucio then disclosed that they are updating the company brand in order to be clearer about the products that come from the social media giant, from the image and video sharing Instagram to the cross-platform messaging WhatsApp.

He added that the logo was designed for clarity, saying that they used a custom typography and capitalization to make a clear distinction between the company and app.

The logo is in all caps with a typography that has open spacing, curved diagonals, horizontal emphasis. In addition, the fonts changes color to symbolize the apps owned by the giant:

Blue which symbolizes their first ever social media app
A gradient of orange, red and purple, which symbolizes the image and video sharing platform Instagram
The green they used in their freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP service app WhatsApp

Based on the update, Lucio said that the people should be informed of the companies who made the products they use. In the case of the social media company, their services include:

The chief marketing officer also said that they recently began to be clearer about the products and services that are part of the company years ago, in addition to their new and upcoming Workplace and Portal. In June, they already started including the phrase “from FACEBOOK”, which includes the new logo, in all of their products and marketing materials. This also includes the company’s new website.
