Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake Hits Cotabato on Monday (November 4)
BREAKING NEWS – A magnitude 3.7 earthquake jolted the town of Tulunan in the province of Cotabato a few days after the four major temblors.
Over the past few days, earthquake has been one of the most trending topics online after a series of powerful temblors struck the province of Cotabato and its nearby areas in Mindanao last week.
The major earthquakes causes severe damage in numerous building and establishment in the quake-affected areas. The disastrous quakes also injured hundreds of people in the area and even killed some of the residents.
On Monday morning (November 4, 2019), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a magnitude 3.7 earthquake in Tulunan town, Cotabato province at 08:31 am.
According to the seismology agency. the quake’s epicenter was located at 06.91°N, 124.84°E – 007 km N 14° E of Tulunan (Cotabato). The quake is tectonic in origin and has a depth of 23 kilometers. Intensity II is recorded in Kidapawan City.
As of this writing, no damage has been recorded and no aftershocks are expected after the strong tremor.
