Class Suspension Declared in These Areas for Wednesday (October 30, 2019)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units declared class suspension in different areas after a magnitude 6.6 earthquake hits Cotabato.
On Tuesday (October 29, 2019), the province of Cotabato has been struck by a magnitude 6.6 earthquake causing damage in different establishments in the area. The powerful tremor also killed several people.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) initially recorded the tremor at magnitude 6.4 but eventually raised to 6.6 magnitude. The earthquake has been followed by several aftershocks.
On Wednesday (October 30, 2019), some local government units announced the cancellation of classes due to the strong earthquake that hits several parts of Mindanao.
The cancellation of classes has been done to ensure the safety of the students from any possible danger brought by the powerful tremor.
