Gov’t Offices To Have Half-Day Work on October 31 – Malacañang

Malacañang Palace declared a half-day work schedule for the government offices on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

The All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day which fall on November 1 and 2 annually is fast approaching. In fact, a lot of people have decided to go home to their home provinces today to avoid the crowd of passengers tomorrow.

In the Philippines, it is a tradition observed by many Filipinos to go and visit their late loved ones in the cemetery, light a candle, and offer flowers and prayers. That is why most workplaces really give chance to their employees to such activities on the said significant days.

Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang Palace released a memorandum declaring half-day work for government offices tomorrow, October 31, 2019. It is in line with the All Saint’s Day event.

Work in government offices will only be until 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon tomorrow. It is to give time to the employees to prepare for the All Saint’s Day. With regards to the work schedule in the private sectors, the Palace leaves it to the discretion of the private companies.
