Employees of GenSan Mall Scream As They Were at 5th Floor When Earthquake Hit

EARTHQUAKE – The employees of a mall in General Santos City were captured screaming for fear as they were at the 5th floor when the quake hit Mindanao.

Parts of Mindanao were recently rocked by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. The epicenter of the quake was in Tulunan, Cotabato according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

#MindanaoEarthquake was quick to trend on social media as strong shaking was really felt. According to Phivolcs, the quake had a depth of 008 kilometers.

Phivolcs also noted that both aftershocks and damages are expected from the 6.4 magnitude quake that hit Cotabato. Currently, videos and photos in line with the incident are circulating on social media platforms.

On Facebook, ABS-CBN News posted a video showing mall employees in General Santos City screaming. They were at the 5th floor of the building when the earthquake rocked parts of Mindanao.

Mall employees at the 5th floor were raising their voice while others were crying. Also, in the video, it could be heard that someone is advising everyone not to panic.

In Cotabato, school structures were greatly affected by the earthquake. One netizen shared their situation at school. They gathered at the school ground but they were seeking for immediate help as they have yet to double check if there are kids left inside the building.
