Erik Matti Gives His Honest Take On Jane De Leon Being The New Darna
ERIK MATTI – Well-known Filipino director Erik Matti share his honest opinion on Jane De Leon taking the role of the new Darna.
It has been previously reported months ago that he wanted Nadine Lustre to take the role of the iconic Filipino superheroine Darna.
For most people, Lustre possesses the true beauty of a Filipina, and Matti agress, further saying that it takes more than being just a model or a beauty queen. The alter ego Narda, he said, is simply an ordinary woman who acquired superpowers and Lustre is best in both worlds.
Although Jane wasn’t his top pick, according to Kami, Matti has his own honest opinion on her.
Matti sees Jane as a god choice as well since she gives off a vibe of a fresh girl next door.
“I know Jane. Maganda ‘yung choice sa kanya kasi parang girl-next-door. Very fresh”
Furthermore, the acknowledged the choice of Jerrold Tarrog , further saying that this is a good choice for both the ABS-CBN Network and him to choose a really fresh face.
Based on the report, he further gave an advice to the Kapamilya actress to embrace the role, although unesy, since this will bring her to greater heights as an actress.
“Embrace it. It’s not an easy role, but she needs to embrace it because it’s going to bring her to greater heights as an actress”
Jane de Leon took the role of Darna after Liza Soberano backed out due to a finger injury she received while shooting the Kapamilya night time show “Bagani”.
