Yasmien Kurdi Helps Release of Female Inmate From BJMP
YASMIEN KURDI – GMA-7 actress Yasmien Kurdi bought Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) inmate’s artwork to help female inmate who’s behind bars.
Award-winning actress Yasmien Kurdi is one of the brightest stars from the Kapuso network. She finishes college magna cum laude from Arellano University in April 2019.
The 30-year-old celebrity married the pilot named Rey Soldevila in 2012. They have a beautiful daughter named Ayesha Zara. In a previous article, she shared her love story with her husband on her Youtube vlog.
Yasmien Kurdi made rounds on social media after she decided to purchase an artwork made by a convict to help an inmate free from BJMP in Tagaytay City. She shared the good news on her Instagram account. Yasmien also shared a photo of her with the inmate and the creator of the painting.
In the caption of the post, she said that she noticed that there are lots of painting displayed at BJMP while they were shooting for her tv series “Beautiful Justice” there. It turns out that if someone would buy the artwork made by an inmate, one of them will be set free. The money will be used to pay for the bail.
Yasmien Kurdi immediately took the opportunity to help. She bought the painting made by an inmate named Jason to help fund Maricris Estrada’s bail. She expressed her happiness knowing she’d be able help set person free from prison.
