Louis Vuitton Reaches Out To Regine Velasquez After Revelations about ‘Discrimination’ Incident
LOUIS VUITTON – The luxury retail company Louis Vuitton reached out to Regine Velasquez after she disclosed about the ‘discrimination’ incident in her vlog.
Filipina singer and actress, Regine Velasquez is one of the best singers in the county. She married the singer-songwriter Ogie Diaz in 2010. They have a son named Nathaniel James Alcasid.
In a previous article, Asia’s Songbird described her experience being discriminated while buying shoes at Louis Vuitton store in New York City. She revealed the shocking news on her latest Youtube vlog titled “Closet Tour and My Shoe Collection.”
Regine Velasquez said a rep from the French fashion house immediately told her that they have no more size for her. “And when I got there, nakita ko na, nandoon sa display… sa umpisa pa lang, sinabi agad sa akin, wala akong size… hindi ako binilhan [binentahan]…Na-discriminate agad ang lola niyo so na-depress ako nang very very, light,” she said.
Regine Velasquez and Sharon Cuneta were interviewed during the latest episode of Boy Abunda’s talk show “Tonight With Boy Abunda.” The Asia’s Songbird again recalled her terrible experience while buying shoes at Louis Vuitton.
Velasquez’ management said the luxury retail company sent flowers to the singer in response to her revelation. But it was not mentioned of the present came with a message of apology to the Kapamilya singer.
During the interview, the Megastar also shared her own discrimination experience at a Cartier boutique in Hong Kong. She disclosed she experienced discrimination three times.
“[My outfit] was very simple, shirt lang and jeans. I said, ‘Excuse me.’ ‘I’m not finished yet!’ I was so angry, there was another sales rep who was very nice, and I ended up buying things I didn’t really need because I was so angry,” Sharon said.
