Here’s Why Regine Velasquez’ MMK Appearance Hasn’t Happened Yet
REGINE VELASQUEZ – Filipina singer and actress Regine Velasquez revealed the reason why her ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya‘ appearance hasn’t happened yet.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez left the Kapuso network after 2 decades. The prominent singer said he wanted to work on the same network as her husband Ogie Alcasid and to meet other celebrities. On October 17, 2018, she signed a contract with the Kapamilya network.
The 49-year-old celebrity is one of the performers of ABS-CBN’s longest-running Sunday variety show ‘ASAP Natin To.’ Regine is currently preparing for her concert with the Megastar Sharon Cuneta titled ‘Iconic.’
Based on a report from PEP, Regine Velasquez revealed that she was supposed to make an appearance on the drama anthology show, ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya.’ She disclosed that information during their press conference at Novotel for their upcoming concert.
On October 5, her husband Ogie Alcasid and Vina Morales starred on an episode of MMK.
According to the report, Regine Velasquez said the producers of her MMK project are still searching for a perfect episode of her. The singer said if she thinks she couldn’t give justice to the role, she won’t accept the project.
“I was supposed to do one for MMK talaga, kaya lang kasi parang they’re trying to find the right role…”
“Kasi, kung ako rin, kung feeling ko hindi ko magagampanan ng maayos, hindi ko din tatanggapin… kasi tatanungin muna nila ako, e, kung gusto ko yung role,” she added.
Based on the report, Asia’s Songbird was able to top-bill 2 episodes of MMK while she was still with the Kapuso network. In 2002, she was paired with Piolo Pascual titled “Lobo” then in 2008, where she was paired with Albert Martinez.
