One of the Philippine’s music icon, singer/songwriter Ogie Alcasid had announced through twitter that his son with Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez had just arrived. He tweeted, “At 7:47pm nov 8,2011. God gave us Nathianel James. Thank you for the prayers. God bless you all!” Ogie said.
Regine Velasquez, the 41-year-old Asia’s songbird had tied the knots with his long-time partner Ogie Alcasid, 44-years-old during a highly-publicized wedding at Nasugbu, Batangas. Nathaniel James was Ogie and Regine’s first baby.
Ogie Alcasid who is previously married with Australian beauty queen Michelle Van Eimerin had already two daughters with Michelle, namely Leila at Sarah. Their baby boy whose nickname is Nate was one of the trending topics on Twitter Philippines for the past few hours and after the announcement of the delivery.
Regine Velasquez gave birth to Baby boy Nate at the Makati Medical Center through the Caesarian section. The songbird was attended by her OB-Gyne Dr. Lilibeth Genuino after she found out that Regine’s amniotic fluid was low and sugar was quite high due to gestational diabetes.
The baby boy of the two music lovers whose named was Nathaniel James was set to due on November 22, 2011.
Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid had decided to name Nathaniel which means “gift of God” and James was one of the Apostles of Christ. Ogie had decided to call Nate their baby boy which is short for Nathaniel. Nate was also similar to the popular Nate of the Gossip Girl character.
