Panelo “Finishes” Commute Challenge And Gives Tips To Commuters
PANELO – Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo accepted the commute challenge and made good with his word on Friday.
The Presidential Spokesperson was challenged by Anakbayan to commute to work. This was after his statement that there was no transport crisis in the country.
But, Panelo also stated that they will not allow the suffering to be constant and permanent. All the while, the spokesperson stands by his statement that there was no crisis.
The Presidential Spokesperson took them up on their dare and rode a Jeepney to work on Friday. He even posted pictures of him inside the jeep to social media outlets.
It took Panelo close to 4 hours to get to the Malacañang. He needed to get into 4 jeepney rides and apparently cheated by hitching a ride on a motorbike.
When he got close to Malacañang, he was swarmed by media outlets. The media asked the Spokesperson about claims of commuters that he caused traffic.
However, Panelo retorted that it was the media that caused the traffic and not him. He emphasized that he never wanted media coverage because of this reason.
According to a report by Inquirer, Panelo had a tip for the people commuting. “BE CREATIVE“, said the Presidential Spokesperson.
He stated that his point was that Filipinos are creative people. He added that when we face hostile situations, we adjust.
He also suggested the public to “wake up earlier” in order to avoid being late for work. However, Panelo started his commute from 5 a.m. and it took him 4 hours to get to his destination.
