Beauty Queen Vanessa Mae Walters appeared to react regarding her dethronement as the first-ever Miss Eco Teen Philippines with these posts.
The 19-year-old beauty queen got her title after the Miss World Philippines 2019 was hailed at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last September 14. However, after less than a month of her reign, she was dethroned. Based on the official statement of the Miss World Philippines Organization, Vanessa did three negative things that compromised her title.
The young beauty queen allegedly exhibited unprofessional behavior and indecency. It was alleged that she did not do her function as a the Miss Eco Teen Philippines and her photo without any clothes on posted on her Instagram account was the reason of the “indecency”. In addition, the MWPO statement also cited another reason of her dethronement, the “misinterpretation of credentials”.
Following this, Vanessa Mae Walters shared a series of meaningful posts on her IG account which pertained to this issue. She shared a netizen’s post stating her answer to the MWP question for her. The question was: “What important life lesson did you learn the hard way?” Her answer to this was:
“I think the hardest lesson I’ve learned in my life is being true to myself and learning to be less authentic than I ever thought I should and I would ever be. I think that the more valuable and sensitive I have come into being in this society has been the hardest lesson I have learned in today’s generation.”
Another post was her photo during the gown competition with the caption deadma walk. Then, Vanessa also shared messages from netizens who showed support for her.
