Class Suspensions Declared In These Areas on Friday (Oct 4)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in different areas due to the upcoming celebration of World Teachers’ Day.
The Facebook page “My Makati” has declared the suspension of classes in all public elementary, secondary, and tertiary schools in the City of Makati on Friday (October 4, 2019) based on Executive Order No.3.
Mayor Abby Binay announced the class cancellations in celebration of World Teachers’ Day to revitalize the image of teaching as vocation by raising public awareness regarding the value of Filipino teachers.
United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared October 5 of every year as World Teacher’s Day. The event aims to celebrate the work of the educators.
Binay also encourages different agencies, departments, and instrumentalities of the local government of Makati to join and support the activity.
