“What’s so surprising about mocha uson being appointed to another government position?”

“Her appointment as OWWA deputy chief is illegal.”

“Mocha Uson’s reappointment to the government speaks of the only qualification Duterte is looking for: Neither excellence nor integrity, but blind loyalty.”

Meanwhile, according to Election lawyer Emilio Marañon explained that she is not covered in one-year ban to those who vied and lost in the previous elections from getting government positions. He cited Rule 4 Section 3 of Comelec Resolution 9366 which states:

“Nominees holding appointive or elective offices may continue to hold office even after acceptance of their nomination, and the one year prohibition from being hired or rehired in a public office after their party-list organizations fail to secure the needed votes to qualify them for a seat in the House of Representatives, will not apply to them.”
