Still Unidentified Persons Shot Former Inmate in Iloilo City

FORMER INMATE – Two(2) still unidentified persons shot an ex-inmate in Iloilo City a few days after he was released from jail.

Saddening and alarming incidents depicting the reality now continue to cross the surface. A lot of people seem to have no more fear in taking another person’s life by their own hands.

Different reasons may be behind these cases which need a thorough investigation. It may be work-related, becauseof a feud with another party, or other reasons that unfortunately led to the lost of a life as the outcome.

Recently, in Iloilo City, another person who just gained freedom lost his life. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he was identified as Roy Goco.

Former Inmate Iloilo City

Roy Goco was a former inmate in Iloilo City who was just released from jail was shot by still unidentified persons. There were drug accusations against him which led to his imprisonment.

According to the report, it was only four(4) days ago when Goco was released from jail. However, recently, while he was biking in Barangay Lapuz Sur, two(2) still unidentified men aboard a motorcycle followed him.

Based on the footage taken by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in the place, after a few minutes, the ex-inmate was shot. He fell to the ground but there was another follow-up.

Goco was brought to the hospital but he did not survive the incident. According to Lapuz Sur Barangay Chairman Wilson Allona, the victim was also linked to cases of stealing before.

Currently, the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing. The family of Goco is still confused on the reason behind it.
