You can then see statistics about your health, your heart rate, and various biometrics related information all at the tip of your fingers. These are just some examples of what IoT can do.
Basically the Internet of Things is a platform where data can be collected, processed and manipulated to our benefit. It then integrates that data in our devices, and interconnecting them in one large network.
