According to a report from GMA, residents on Tawi-Tawi thought that the haze from the forest fire is fog that they usually see in every morning. However, the thick smoke remained all day.

The haze was also seen over the city of Puerto Princessa, Palawan ever since last Friday. Thus, the bureau warned the residents, including fishermen of the dangers of low visibility.

As per the report, the bureau’s Puerto Princessa Chief Meteorological Officer Sonny Pajarilla said that the fishermen are importantly informed of the haze, especially in the evening as the horizontal visibility lowers.

Here is GMA News’ video about the update:

Earlier, the bureau spotted two low pressure areas near Luzon: one at 130 kilometers west southwest of the municipality of Iba, Zambales; while the other at about 715 kilometers east of the town of Basco, Batanes.

Metro Manila and parts of Luzon will face rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat. As for the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas, they will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
