Biometric Scanner Used by Witty Teacher To Check Attendance
A witty teacher in Cotabato takes advantage of the modern technology and used a biometric scanner to check the attendance of her students.
Nowadays, most people are using the modern technology to make life easier and more comfortable. High-tech gadgets and appliances could be a big help to make our daily tasks easier and faster.
Schools and other educational institution are already using modern technology and devices to improve the learning process in school. It could be also used to monitor the students’ attendance including tardiness and absenteeism.
A certain teacher identified as Ms. Amyfil L. Balonon of Poblacion Polomolok National High School in Polomolok, South Cotabato used the high-tech devices to monitor the attendance of her Grade 11 students.
Miss Balonon brings her own biometric scanner to check the attendance instead of instructing the students to list their names in the attendance sheet because some of them usually ask their friends to have their names in the list.
Unfortunately, the tradition trick of the students won’t work with the biometrics anymore. The device only allows the student itself to log-in or log-out and no one else.
Teacher Balonon’s teaching strategy could help the ICT B Division of South Cotabato students to go early in their class and to avoid cutting classes.
