1 Dead, 3 Others Injured After Lightning Struck in Negros Occidental

A lightning struck in Negros Occidental leaving one(1) man dead and three(3) of his companions injured.

Undeniably, death can come with no warning at all. Some are in the form of accidents which are unexpected. These unfortunate events may also come with a touch of nature – like tsunami, flood, and the struck of lightning.

Recently, in Moises Padilla in Negros Occidental, a man was left dead after he was struck by a lightning. He was with three(3) other people when the incident happened and his companions were left with injuries.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the victim who died was identified as Saldy Marfil, a farmer. The 43-year-old farmer was with the children of his siblings when the incident that took his life happened.

According to the police authorities, Marfil and his family members went to a rice field in Barangay Odiong to harvest. However, when they were already there, it rained so they just decided to go home.

Based on the report, on their way home, Marfil was struck by a lightning in his chest. His family members who was walking behind him were injured and they were rushed to the hospital.

Unfortunately, the 43-year-old farmer died right away after he was struck in his chest according to the police authorities. As of this writing, there are still no further details regarding the matter.
