HOW TO BATH A BABY
Step 1
Place a small amount of lukewarm water in the baby bathtub. Do not fill the tub with more than two(2) inches of water. Prepare the shampoo and the washcloth.
Step 2
Undress the baby and place him or her in the bathtub right away. Your one hand must support the head of the baby so water will not get into his ears, eyes, and mouth.
Step 3
Let your other hand do the bathing activities. Splash some water over the baby.
Step 4
Grab the washcloth and soak it into the water. Remove the excess water from the cloth and use the cloth in cleaning the hair and face of the baby.
Step 5
Add shampoo on the scalp of the baby. The frequency of shampooing the baby will depend on the advise of the doctor.
Step 6
Rinse the shampoo and wash the rest of the body of the baby from top to bottom. You may do it by splashing warm water to the baby or using the washcloth.
Step 7
Lift your baby from the bathtub and pat him or her with a dry, soft towel. Be sure to dry even the skin with folds.
Step 8
Put some baby powder to the doctor depending on the advise of the doctor. Dress the baby.
