Video of Bailes De Luces’ Performance In South Korea’s Wonju Dancing Carnival
BAILES DE LUCES – The Dancing Lights or ‘Bailes De Luces‘ of La Castellana won gold during the Wonju Dancing Carnival in South Korea.
On May this year, Bacolod City’s Masskara Festival was declared as the ‘Best Foreign Group’ awards in South Korea’s Daegu Festival. Philippines’ bet defeated all the 21 group participants.
Masskara is considered one of the best festivals in the country. Lots of people from all different towns flock in Bacolod to witness the joyful celebration. No wonder they won the award.
Meanwhile, La Castellana which was 39 kilometers away from Bacolod also showcased their Bailes de Luces or “Dance of Light” festival in South Korea. They participated in Wonju Dancing Carnival.
The mayor of La Castellana, Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan, announced the good news to all the Filipinos that their festival won. Her post has generated 1.5K reactions, 541 comments, and 503 shares as of this writing.
Based on her caption, the mayor said Bailes De Luces won ‘First in Street Dancing Carnival’ and ‘Over-all Gold in Wonju Dancing Carnival – Special Category (Foreign)’. The Philippines once again proved the talents of the Filipinos in South Korea.
On the latter part of her caption, she expressed her gratitude to all the people who supported their group and the politicians who gave them the opportunity to perform abroad. They are Governor Bong Lacson, Vice Governor Jeffery Ferrer, and Congressman Marilou Arroyo.
