SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta replied to a comment from a netizen who expressed something about her “Yayas” wearing uniform in public.
One of the wealthiest personalities in the Philippines is truly the Megastar Sharon Cuneta. And with her standing, she is not just well-known as a performer but she is also known for her generosity towards other people. And her “Yayas” could attest to that.
In a post where she shared a photo of her house staff being with her in New York, one netizen noticed in the photo that even in public, they are wearing their uniforms. And this triggered the Megastar and replied in a very lengthy post.
She said, “I’m so sorry you think that way. I guess if I have to explain it to you pa, that means you won’t understand. When not in the Philippines – and I have taken one to four yayas abroad… Not a bad exchange for giving me and my family some decent representation in The Philippines, I think.”
Accordingly, she has taken them to places such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, beach cities in Thailand, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, Tokyo, Osaka (including Universal Studios and Disneyland), Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Florida (including Disneyworld), Paris (including Disneyland), London, Milan, Rome, Florence, Vienna, Zurich, and many other places.
Even the way she addressed her Yayas as “Yaya” was noticed by a certain netizen. This led her to explain on social media that the term they used is an “affectionate” endearment to their helpers.
