Alden Richards Shares Experience Winning Star Prize in Korea
ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso tv host and actor Alden Richards shared his wonderful experience during the 2019 Seoul International Drama Awards.
Filipino actor Alden Richards tagged as the Pambansang Bae of the Philippines. He has starred in several films and tv series including “Imagine You and Me,” “Victor Magtangol,” and “One True Love” among others.
The 27-year-old actor is also one of the host of the longest-running noontime show in the country Eat Bulaga. His latest stint that became big hit is his movie with the Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo titled “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
In a previous article, ABS-CBN’s film production arm Star Cinema announced that “Hello, Love” Goodbye” is currently the highest-grossing film in the Philippines. A month after their taping of their movie, he was invited to attend the 14th edition of Seoul International Drama Awards.
The award giving body gave the Kapuso actor the Asian Star Prize 2019. He said he felt so honored to receive the award. The event was also extra special for him because it’s the 70th celebration of connection between Philippines and Korea.
Recently, PEP shared a video of Alden Richards sharing his experience during the Seoul International Drama Awards.
“Given once in a lifetime opportunity na mabigyan as a Filipino na mabigyan ng ganung klaseng recognition sa isang International award giving body yun yung isinapuso ko nung araw nay un… I will stand proud for the Filipinos and para sa kanila ang award,” he said.
Alden Richards said it was his first time to walk on a red carpet and visit Korea. He said he learned about the award 1 month before he flew to Korea and didn’t expect that he’ll be winning a prestigious international award.
He thought he’ll just be receiving a “Face of the Night” award. Fortunately, he prepared a speech for the event. He also mentioned all the famous Korean celebrities he saw at the event.
