Alden Richards received Asian Star Prize in South Korea
Pambansang Bae Alden Richards of the Kapuso network won the Asian Star Prize at the 2019 Seoul International Drama Awards.
Alden paved his way to stardom through his talent and of course his looks. Under the management of the Kapuso network, he was able to prove he deserves a space in the Philippine entertainment industry. His carrer even bloomed when he joined the Eat Bulaga family.
In the longest-running noontime show, he was accidentally paired with Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza in the Sugod-Bahay segment. Later on, they were given their own segment called Kalyeserye with comedy trio Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros. Then, he was also included in the cast of Sunday PinaSaya.
The latest stint of Alden Richards that became a big hit is his movie with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo. Their film Hello, Love, Goodbye received positive feedback from moviegoers as well as from personalities in showbiz such as Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bea Alonzo.
Now, the Pambansang Bae added a feather to his cap when he received an award from the 14th edition of Seoul International Drama Awards. Based on the Twitter post of CNN Philippines, Alden said that he felt so honored to be receiving the Asian Star Prize.
“It’s such an honor to receive this award. Being a Filipino, I am humbled and grateful to be recognized in the international scene, along with so many amazing and talented artists,” the actor said. For him, this award is extra special because it was given during the 70th year celebration of connection between Korea and Philippines.
“It’s always our hope to make more people happy and inspire them with our passion,” the actor added. Together with Alden, Japanese actor Miura Haruma also won the Asian Star Prize.
