Netizens Wow Korean Who Graduated W/ Filipino Degree
KOREAN – Netizens are swooning over the Korean lady who graduated from Busan University with a Filipino degree.
The Philippines is one of the countries who got lots of people who are obsessed with Korean pop culture. Most of the teenagers or young at hearts in the country kept their tag to their favorite Korean actors or band.
Korean celebrities they adore include Song Joong-ki, Lee Min-ho, Park Bo-gum, and the Kpop groups BLACKPINK and BTS. Thousands of young Pinoy flock to their fan meet or concerts in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, a non-showbiz young Korean national named Jiyoon Kim caught the hearts of Filipino netizens. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Filipino.
She took the course from Busan University of Foreign Studies in South Korea. Her professor Jovy Peregrino of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman shared her graduation photo. On his Facebook post, he congratulated the student for her great achievement.
“Pagbati. Kim Jeeyoon sa iyong pagtatapos sa Busan University of Foreign Studies major sa Filipino. Ikinararangal kita. Mabuhay ka”
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, the Korean stayed in Bulacan for two-month last 2015. Her vacation in the country convinced her to major in Filipino. She expressed that her professor, Jovy, showed them various sides of the Philippines.
According to the report, the 23-year-old Korean graduated on August 23. She said all the Filipino people she met was so kind to her and hoped that she could get a chance to work in the Philippines someday.
