Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw Retains Top Spot On Box Office Charts
FAST AND FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW – The mega popular movie franchise remained king over the worldwide box office charts.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson along with co-star Jasosn Statham continued riding the top of the charts at the box office. According to comscore, an American media measurement and analytics company.
The latest Fast and Furious film continued it’s winning streak for the fourth consecutive week. It racked up to $45 million to add to its worldwide gross.
In spite of the stellar cast that make up the “Lion King” reboot, the film just trails behind Fast and Furious. Quintin Tarantino’s latest film, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” closes in at third place for a second consecutive week.
“Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” garnered an additional $45,380,000 bringing the total world wide gross to more than $700 Million. With this, the blockbuster film became the first movie of the year to top the charts for four weeks.
Marvels latest films, “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Endgame” only headed the listing for about three weeks. Although “Avengers: Endgame” still holds the record for fastest movie to hit $1 Billion (5 days).
The charts according to comscore still stayed the same with “The Lion King” staying in second. The reboot of the classic Disney film with Donald Glover and Beyonce racked up an additional $27.3 million, bringing it’s world wide gross to over $1.5 billion.
Quintin Taratino’s latest film, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” holds it’s spot in third place. The film stars Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie.
This Week, the Tarantino film made $25.6 million even on it’s sixth week in theaters. Because of this, the legendary director’s work has grossed over $280 Million worldwide.
