The Avengers storyline have been a popular superhero movie series in the past years as it is followed by millions of fans every year. With their most recent release “The Avengers: Endgame”, they beat the classic movie “Titanic” on global ticket sales.

In a separate report, Robert Downey Jr. – playing as Iron Man in the MCU movies – also won the ‘Best Hero’ award for 2019.

A fan-voting survey was conducted prior to the awards.

During the fan-voting, the MCU hit beat other movies including:

  • BlacKkKlansman,
  • Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,
  • To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and
  • Us

The recent achievement is one of the most important awards the movie has won since it came out in theaters. Anthony Russo – co-director of the film went on stage to claim the award.

Almost two months after the blockbuster’s release, the recent MCU property has went up $45 million to James Cameron’s movie: Avatar on top of most films with highest grossing records.

In the past weekend, the comic-based movie had also grossed $2.74 billion worldwide. This includes $830.7 million gained domestically.

While the film is approaching the records of the Avatar movie worldwide, it is still left out by over a $100 million from the record set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This is according to an article from Comicbook.

Alan Horn – Walt Disney Studios’ chairman also expressed his appreciation for the Marvel Studios during a press release:

“Kevin Feige and the Marvel Studios team have continued to challenge notions of what is possible at the movie theatre both in terms of storytelling and at the box office.”

Kevin Feige is a film producer and also the president of the Marvel Studios.

Endgame reached $1 billion in global sales right after the opening, a first in box office history.

“Though Endgame is far from an end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these first 22 films constitute a sprawling achievement, and this weekend’s monumental success is a testament to the world they’ve envisioned, the talent involved, and their collective passion, matched by the irrepressible enthusiasm of fans around the world,” Horn added.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
