Taylor Swift’s Latest Album ‘Lover’ Sets Sales Record In China
TAYLOR SWIFT – The latest album of Taylor Swift ‘Lover’ broke a new record for an international artist in China.
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is known for writing a song about her personal life. He has released a total of seven studio albums namely Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), Reputation (2017), and Lover (2019).
The 29-year-old singer is considered among the world’s biggest superstar. She has done lots of concerts from different countries around the globe.
In a previous article, Taylor Swift revealed the release date of her latest album ‘Lover.’ Her fans were all intrigued by the lyrics of the song ‘Lover’ and speculated that she’s already engaged to the English actor Joe Alwyn.
The music video of the song was released last week. The singer created a life-size dollhouse setup. It was visually lush and romantic. She also plays guitar, drums, and violin from room to room.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Taylor Swift’s latest album broke a new record in China. This was a success for an international artist. On Friday, August 30, the album ‘Lover‘ surpassed 1 million combined total downloads, sales, and streams within a week. Billboard magazine expected that the video will reach 825,000-850,000 album sales a week after the release in the US.
The ‘Lover’ album includes songs “You Need to Calm Down” that features famous stars including Ellen Degeneres, Katy Perry, Adam Rippon, and Laverne Cox. And “ME!” featuring the lead vocalist of Panic! At the Disco, Brendon Urie.
According to the report, Taylor Swift’s previous albums “Reputation” and “1989” took a while to reach 1 million consumers in China.
The superstar has been dominating the international music scene for several years now. She surely joins the list of the greatest singers of all time.
