Low-Pressure Area Near Cagayan To Bring Rains Over Parts of PH, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area found East of Cagayan would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.
On Saturday (August 31, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather condition. PAGASA said that the low-pressure area and southwest monsoon would bring inclement weather condition in the country.
The weather agency reported that the low-pressure was last spotted around 240 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan. The LPA’s extension would bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN.
The low-pressure area is also expected to bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thuderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, and Quezon.
The southwest monsoon would also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.
The weather agency also warned the public regarding the possible flashfloods and landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon would be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
