AMAZON MONSTERS – Here are some of the most dangerous and deadliest creatures which can be found living in the Amazon river.
The Amazon houses numerous species and some of it are among the most dangerous in the world. And the Amazon river the largest drainage system in the world in terms of the volume of its flow and the area of its basin. It has a length of at least 4,000 miles (6,400 km) which is equivalent to the distance of New York City to Rome. With its length, surely, there are these monsters under it and living in it that we should be aware of.

- GREEN ANACONDA – This is the largest snake in the Amazon. It’s prey won’t die of its bite but it surely kills through its strength and constriction. It lets his prey die of asphyxiation first before devouring it.
- BLACK PIRANHA – This fish have powerful jaws and sharp teeth. Accordingly, there are 20 different species of this fish found in the Amazon River, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.
- PAYARA – The distinct features of this fish is its two long fangs protruding from its lower jaw. They eat smaller fishes than them and Piranha is included in their diet.
- ELECTRIC EEL – This fish has an elongated and cylindrical body and can generate an electrical charge of up to 600 volts in order to stun prey and keep predators at bay.
- CANDIRU – This is so small that it has tendency to invade and parasitise the human urethra. It is very tiny in size and has a translucent body which makes it very hard for them to be spotted in water as per Epic Wildlife.
