We even have routines to maintain and improve our skin.

Skincare Mistakes

However, there are accordingly some mistakes we make when doing our routine and in the products that we use. Find out some skincare mistakes you might have unconsciously done for everyday:

  • Aggressively cleansing and washing your face such as doing it every now and then or taking too long thinking of purifying it. For the record, washing does purify but being too aggressive on your skin might take away its essential components that naturally moisturize the skin.
  • Over-wiping the face using cotton pads and towel damages the skin. Be as gentle as possible and never rub too roughly, quickly, or doing it many times.
  • Another mistake is not washing off your face after using cleansing water. It shouldn’t be this way. Also, never use it as a toner. Wash it away with lukewarm water.
  • Thinking that you can equally treat your whole face. Apply the specific product to areas only that needs treatment. It doesn’t need to be put on your whole face.
  • Using active ingredients in full range. You don’t need to use every single product as part of your regime. It may only stress your skin. Use a product only if needed.
  • If you have oily skin, you still need to moisturize your skin.
  • Not letting your skin heal itself. Do not fully rely to medications.
  • Identify your skin problem and address it. You don’t need to buy a lot of products to apply everything in your face. Only buy the product that you need for a specific problem. You can’t just carelessly pile up those products on your face.
  • According to Liah Yoo, using anti-aging products too early also cause damages to the skin.
