SARANGANI – On Saturday, eight-year-old twins drowned to death while swimming in the sea of Maasim, Sarangani.

Swimming is considered one of the most enjoyable activities for kids or even adults. We can’t deny that we love spending hot days splashing in the ocean or swimming pool.

One of the best beaches in the world is found in the Philippines. All shores in the country were enjoyed by the residents and local tourists. There are thousands of beach resorts in the Philippines.

Ocean water is so risky for young children, that why resorts have lifeguards to prevent accidents but adults or their parents should be the ones responsible for watching them.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, eight-year-old twins from Maasim, Sarangani Province drowned in the ocean on Saturday, August 24. The father of the twins narrated the tragic incident.

According to the report, the father who was not named said his 2 boys asked him to watch them swimming in the shores of Barangay Kabatiol. He granted his twins request.

Twin’s father said he was interrupted for a second when he saw their neighbor running towards the location of his two sons. He was late to know that his twins were already drowning in the seawater.

Based on the report, the cops in Maasim, Sarangani advised the residents not to let their children swim in the ocean or swimming pool without an adult companion. We can all hope that this incident won’t happen again.

Kids easily get drowned in the ocean because they can’t control their body very well with the ocean current. That’s the reason why some parents gave their kids swimming lessons to reduce drowning risks.
