Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Saturday (August 24)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension over some parts of the country due to the inclement weather condition.

Over the past few days, Tropical Storm Ineng continues to bring an inclement weather condition over most parts of the Philippines. Ineng has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 125 kph.

Ineng brings heavy rains and strong winds that prompted the state weather bureau PAGASA to place several areas under tropical cyclone wind signals. The weather agency also warned the public to be always prepared for possible flashfloods and landslides.

Class Suspension

Different local government units have also declared the cancellation of classes due to the bad weather condition experienced in some parts of the country.

On Saturday (August 24, 2019), the classes have been suspended in several areas due to the effects of Tropical Storm Ineng.

The class cancellations have been done to ensure the safety of the students from any possible danger brought by the inclement weather.

  • Laoag City, Ilocos Norte
  • San Fernando, La Union
