According to Inquirer, the company behind the platform recently fulfilled its promise to add a tool which allows users to block them from gathering information about you while you are outside the social media platform.

Through this tool, you will get fewer related ads following users around the Internet.

The company also said that it added a section where users can track the platform’s activity outside its scope through the embed “like” buttons and other ways. Should the users decide not to turn off the tracking, it will continue its purpose.

They also announced the launch of the tool on Twitter.

As per the report, it was formerly known as “clear history”. The name they chose for the tool is awkwardly “Off-Facebook Activity”.

The tool is currently accessible in places like South Korea, Ireland, and Spain on Tuesday, which is consistent with the platform’s recent activity to add features starting in the smaller markets. Until now, they haven’t released a clear shedule as to when these features will reach the U.S. and other countries.

Again, the tool enables users to block data tracking, which is usually on by default, resulting to fewer ads to appear on the users’ feed.
