Officials Reject Donald Trump’s Interest In Buying Greenland

DONALD TRUMP – President Donald Trump inquires about buying Greenland for the United States of America but officials said it’s not for sale.

American politician Donald Trump is considered one of the famous and richest businessmen in the world. He’s also the chief executive of the United States of America.

Anyone who is rich and powerful, there is a chance that they will be interested in purchasing Earth’s gorgeous gems like the world’ largest island, Greenland.

Based on a report from South China Morning Post, President Donald Trump wanted to purchase Greenland for the US. He has already asked his aids to seek the possibility of buying the island.

The 73-year-old politician may have expressed his interest in purchasing the beautiful island but Denmark said it’s not for sale.

According to the report, the residents of the largely autonomous country of Denmark reacted saying it’s a really bad idea. The foreign minister of Greenland, Ane Lone Bagger, reacted to Trump’s plans.

“We are open for business, but we’re not for sale,” she said.

Bagger’s comments to Trump were echoed by the politicians of Denmark and Greenland. Member of Parliament (MP) Aaja Chemnitz Larsen expressed she felt tremendously uncomfortable hearing her homeland was treated like a commodity.

“It’s a ‘no thanks’ from here…tremendously uncomfortable to hear it discussed in such terms.”

“If we were bought by the US, our welfare system would be dismantled and fundamental changes would be made to Greenlandic society – we’d be crushed,” she added.

Based on the report, Greenland can have a large majority of support but leaders aren’t certain if they could survive without fundings from the kingdom of Denmark.
