Apparently, they don’t want to see the same posts over and over again or the posts annoy them but un-friending is quite rude. In line with this issue, Facebook has created an option called “Snooze”.

This new option allows a user to temporarily unfollow a person, a page or a group, based on the article from Reader’s Digest. Activating this option will not notify the account that you have unfollowed temporarily. Then, you will receive a reminder when the 30-day period is almost over.

Product Manager Sruthi Muraleedharan wrote in a Newsroom post that they have been hearing about this problem from several users. “We’ve heard from people that they want more options to determine what they see in News Feed and when they see it,” Muraleedharan said.

In order to activate the Snooze option, just click the three dots at any post and you will easily see the “Snooze for 30 days”. On the other hand, if you change your mind, you can turn this option off.

Meanwhile, there are two other options that will help you eliminate the posts that you don’t want to see. You can use the “Unfollow” option which will remove all the posts of a certain account from your news feed. There is also the “Hide” option which will hide a single post.
