REGINE VELAZQUEZ – The Kapamilya singer Songbird Regine Velasquez has this humble reply to a critic who pointed her performance not hitting the right note.
The Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez is known for her skyrocketing vocal range that could belt, by far, the highest version of the hit song “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing”. She is indeed a legend and singers in the Philippines look up to her and her undeniable talent.
However, just recently, an unimpressed audience criticized her performance singing “On The Wings Of Love” during ASAP at Bay Area. She was told that she couldn’t hit the right note and so she better just stop singing. Moreover, it stated, “NAKAKAHIYA KA! FINALE KA PA? DI MO NAMAN MAABOT!!! Pweeh!!! Wag ka na lang kumanta!!!”
In response to this, the Songbird expressed, “Wow 😂 natawa Lang ako. I guess kasalanan ko rin naman kasi kahit madaling kanta pinapahirap ko😂 so pag hindi ko binirit disappointed na ang ibang mas mataas pa sa boses ko ang expectations 😂”
Velasquez further added that singing or performing depends on the condition of the singer or performer. For one, the entertainer may be in depression, lost someone important, sick, and suffering heartbreak. But despite all of these, they try as much as possible to give their 101 percent best.
Truly, there’ll be no excuses for the people paid to watch them but Songbird stated, “Sa maniwala kayo o hindi bago nyo pa na decide na disappointed kayo…. super disappointed na kami sa mga sarili namin. To the point of blaming our selves for getting sick or not practicing enough or not being able to sleep working so hard or not eating enough or in my case eating too much😂”
In the end of her post, Songbird thank her critic for pointing out her bad performance, thus, she will do better next time “to redeem herself” and that what one essence that makes life beautiful.
