The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the Philippines.

On Tuesday (July 30, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA said that the southwest monsoon or locally known as ‘Habagat’ is expected to bring heavy monsoon rains over the western section of Luzon particularly in Pangasinan, Bataan, and Zambales.

The southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, La Union, Benguet, Cavite, Batangas and the rest of Central Luzon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also warned the residents living in the low-lying and mountainous areas to prepare for possible flashfloods and landslides.
