Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Congratulates Sen. Manny Pacquiao
MAYOR ISKO MORENO – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno reacted to the recent boxing victory of Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
Recently, Sen. Manny Pacquiao defeated American boxer Keith Thurman. The fight was held in Las Vegas yesterday and it gathered a lot of famous personalities.
Pacquiao undeniably showed that he can still do a lot despite all the factors that might decrease his chance to win including his age. Currently, the Filipino boxing champion is 40 years old.
Thurman was 30 years old and has always been vocal of his pursuit to win the match against Pacman. On his part, the Filipino boxer said that he is focused on the fight and he wanted to prove something.
The Filipinos rejoiced over the victory of Sen. Manny Pacquiao in his recent boxing fight. One of those who congratulated Pacman is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Moreno congratulated Pacquiao and stressed the perseverance and the talent of the Filipino boxing champion.
“Tulad ng aking mga kapwa Batang Maynila, si Pacman ay galing sa hirap at nagsumikap sa maraming aspeto, mapa-pulitikal man o sa larangan ng boksing,” the Manila Mayor said in his statement.
According to the report, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno also stated that the skill of Sen. Manny Pacquiao made him rose to fame and it cannot be fathomed.
“Hindi mapapantayan ang ipinamalas na husay at galing ni Pacman na marami nang beses na kinilala sa iba’t ibang dako ng mundo,” Moreno stated.
Congratulations Pacman! You are truly among the biggest pride of the Philippines and the Filipino people.
