Check out some tips below:

  • No to caffeine, alcohol, nicotine – Accordingly, these kind of beverages are stimulants that instead of reducing it, they just add up to the tension you are feeling. Try to consume water, herbal teas, or fruit juices instead.
  • Exercise and physical activities – Work it out. Exercising helps increasing your mood and instead of pouring out your frustration to someone and eventually hurt their feelings, take those dumbbells and run it in a treadmill.
  • Relax – Take a deep breath and find yourself a seat where you can have comfort. Close your eyes for 5-10 minutes. Imagine yourself in your favorite spot, peaceful and relaxing.
  • Take a break – Give yourself a break away from what stresses you out. It doesn’t mean you should just leave the task hanging. Just find time for a little break, eat well, and slow down. You can do Yoga and even pray just to ease the tension due to stress.
  • Speak about what’s stressing you – Talk to someone you trust the most. They might not give you a solution to your problem but their words of comfort and knowing someone is listening to you and encouraging you would help you slowly let go of what’s making you feel bad.
  • Rest and sleep – This is yet the best thing you can do to get rid of stress.
