The People’s Champ, currently, is making preparations for his next fight against the young undefeated professional boxer Keith Thurman. The upcoming bout is probably one of the most anticipated matches for the Filipino boxer in a few years.

Veteran coach Freddie Roach recently revealed that he’s still hoping for a rematch between Pacquiao and Mayweather.

Meanwhile, the veteran boxer, put aside his personal business for awhile and got to visit a young fan who survived cancer.

FOX Sports: PBC posted a video of their meeting on their Twitter feed.

The young survivor, named Jonah and the veteran boxer met in Los Angeles.

Jonah was reportedly diagnosed with the life-threatening condition back in 2006. He was only four years old at the time.

Mark Villamil- Jonah’s father revealed the efforts they took to make their kid’s wish come to life. He also expressed the family’s admiration for the legendary boxer:

“We made the trip to LA. We are big fans of Manny Pacquiao. One of our children became severely sick. He is known as ‘Little Pacquiao’ at our academy.”

Prior to their meeting, Pacquiao sent Jonah a video via Facebook when he was notified about the kid’s condition. In the video, he prayed and wished for the kid’s speedy recovery.

Pacquiao revealed Jonah’s condition back then and he was also grateful that the kid is cancer-free now.

This is according to an article from ABS CBN.

The boxer signed gloves for the family and also took photos with them. They concluded their meeting with a warm hug.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
