The classic Disney movie “The Little Mermaid” is making a comeback with a new live-action adaptation. The company has released several movies in the past that have left permanent marks on our childhood as it taught us remarkable lessons.

Recently, the casting for Ariel in the movie was already decided and the company chose Halle Bailey for the role.

Now, Twitter users are starting to voice out their suggestions for the celebrity choice to play as Prince Eric in the movie.

The most dominant choice is the Korean pop music artist BTS’ Jimin. Alongside other actors, such as Harry Styles, Shawn Mendez, Henry Cavill, Etc.

As the hashtag and topic Prince Eric went trending on the platform, BTS’ fans (ARMYs) made pleas to the movie producers to cast their Kpop idol for the role.

They plead for the producers to keep diversifying the options by going for the Korean artist as Ariel’s (Halle Bailey) partner.

And it looks like the 23 year old artist Park Jimin would be age-appropriate to partner up with the R&B singer Halle, who’s 19. Jimin also has the looks for a romantic royal prince.

Some speculations also say the Nick Jonas may have already took the spot. This was after he tweeted: ‘YES. Can’t wait.’

This is based on an article from Metro.

Many Disney fans are looking forward for the diversity but there are also other good options to be considered.

After all, the final decision will be made by the producers.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
