Herlene Budol has a new project with Pokwang
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol talked about working with seasoned comedienne Pokwang who became her mentor.
Herlene has explored different areas in the entertainment industry. She has been doing acting projects for quite a while now and she also ventured into hosting, aside from her beauty pageant stints.
After her Magandang Dilag series, GMA Network gave her another project in which she plays the lead character.
Binibining Marikit premiered on February 10. She plays the character of Marikit or Ikit, a tour guide. In this project, she is learning a lot from Pokwang, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
“Madalas po ako yung magtanong sa kanya,” Herlene Budol said about Pokwang. “Siyempre, kasi si Mamang hindi naman bida-bida na bigla na lang mag-a-advise sa akin. So, ako po yung unang nagtatanong talaga (gaya ng), ‘Mang, tama po ba ito?’ ‘Mang, OK po bang atake ‘to?’ ‘Mang, ganito po ba dapat?” the Kapuso actress said.
Herlene also said that it is important that she would approach Pokwang first because she is already a veteran in the industry. He also said that she look up to the seasoned comedienne. She gives importance to all the advice that Pokwang has given to her.
Herlene Budol also shared that she has expressed to Pokwang that she wants to work with her. Not long after that, Pokwang asked Herlene if she was ready. At first, the latter had no idea that they would have a project together.
For Herlene, working with Pokwang on a project is a dream come true. Aside from Pokwang, Herlene had the chance to work with Tony Labrusca and Kevin Dasom for the first time. Previously, Tony expressed that he prayed to have a project with Herlene and this finally came true.
