Localized Thunderstorms expected To Affect Parts of PH in the Afternoon, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that the localized thunderstorms would bring rains in the afternoon over parts of the Philippines.
On Thursday (July 4, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
PAGASA is now monitoring a low-pressure area at 520 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City in South Cotabato still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The weather agency said that the LPA has a slight chance of intensifying into a tropical storm.
Thr trough of the LPA would bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the entire Visayas and Mindanao.
Luzon, as well as Palawan, would have a generally fair weather condition but localized thunderstorms are expected in some afternoon and evening.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers are expected over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar as well as Metro Manila.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon including Northern Samar would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
